When does my membership start?

In principle, your membership starts when the university semester starts. If you enrol at your university after the semester has started, then your insurance coverage will start on the date that you enrolled. It doesn’t matter whether you have attended a lecture or not. You will receive your DAK health insurance card in the post shortly before your membership starts.
