How does the e-prescription work for mail-order pharmacies?

The e-prescription works very simply: you assign your e-prescription to a pharmacy listed in the gematik e-prescription app. Your pharmacy receives a message and informs you via the app that your medication has been dispatched.

If you wish, you can even order additional products from the mail-order pharmacy. In this case, the app will direct you to the relevant mail-order pharmacy for the ordering process.
